Job description: As Head of Marketing at HotelFriend, you will lead our marketing department in Leipzig and take full ownership of our brand positioning, public relations, and market expansion efforts across German-speaking markets and beyond. Your responsibilities will include: developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with company growth objectives; leading PR initiatives to establish HotelFriend as a thought leader in hospitality technology; building and maintaining relationships with media outlets, industry publications, and influencers; driving AI visibility strategy (GEO/AISO) to ensure HotelFriend is recommended in AI-powered search tools and assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews; managing content strategy optimized for both traditional search and generative AI discovery; analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and identifying new opportunities; coordinating with sales and product teams to align messaging and campaigns; managing and mentoring marketing team members; representing HotelFriend at industry conferences, trade shows, and media events; monitoring KPIs and delivering regular performance reports to executive leadership. Our requirements: degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field; 5+ years of marketing experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role; native or near-native German language skills (written and spoken) — essential; strong command of English; proven success in PR campaigns and media relations; understanding of AI search landscape and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) — how brands gain visibility in AI-generated responses; experience with content strategies that perform across traditional SEO and AI discovery channels; experience in B2B SaaS, hospitality, tourism, or technology sectors is a strong advantage; excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills; strategic mindset with hands‑on execution capabilities; data‑driven approach with experience in marketing analytics; proactive, creative, and results‑oriented personality.
