Our department Global Trade & Customs is looking for 4-6 months for an
Intern Global Trade (m/f/d)
Team At our Mannheim Regional Center, the Global Trade & Customs team plays a critical role in ensuring compliant, efficient import and export operations across Europe. As an Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in import compliance, customs operations, and global trade processes within a real industrial environment. You will work closely with experienced customs professionals and support daily operations as well as regulatory and system-related initiatives.

Your Responsibilities:
7. Support daily import customs operations (EU imports, free circulation, inward processing)
8. Assist with customs declarations and data checks in SAP GTS
9. Help monitor and validate customs-relevant master data (tariff classification, origin, preference)
10. Support customs audits and internal reviews, including document preparation and data extraction
11. Assist with Country of Origin-related data collection and analysis
12. Support the customs team in process documentation, work instructions, and training material
13. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (logistics, receiving departments, finance, IT)
14. Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives within Global Trade
What skills you need:
15. Enrolled Bachelor student in Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related field
16. Confident communication skills in English; German is an advantage
17. Good Microsoft Excel skills
18. Interest in customs, international trade, and regulatory compliance
19. Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
20. Structured and reliable working style
21. Basic understanding of import/export processes and first experience with SAP (especially SAP GTS) is a plus, but not required
