What you will do-
* Development and implementation of strategies and goals for assigned commodities in support of overall divisional business objectives.
* Develop and lead cross functional teams based in US and Germany to guide the process of strategic commodity plans, consolidation strategy, and spend/supply assessments taking into account total product life cycle needs.
* Leads sourcing analysis and selection process and performs cost analyses and make versus buy analyses as required.
* Leads development of contract strategy. Negotiates, establishes, monitors and enforces supplier contracts and agreements.
* Identify supply base risk and develop/implement mitigation plans including market assessments, supplier's financial assessments, social responsibility, environment, ethics etc.
* Obtain and communicate market condition information and technology trends related to commodities and suppliers. Utilize market trends to identify and implement appropriate cost controls and business strategy changes.
* Lead the development and implementation of strategies and goals for assigned commodities in support of overall divisional business objectives.
* Create and implement enterprise wide metrics, tools and processes to optimize sourcing and supplier activities.
* Communicate key supplier management updates and decisions to multiple levels in the organization including Executive Leadership.
What you need-
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering or related field, required
* 7+ years in Supply Management with focus on strategic sourcing and supplier development, highly preferred
* Engineering/technical background, highly preferred
* Knowledge and application of supplier contract strategy, negotiations, contractual terms, and contract administration
* Knowledge of continuous improvement and cost reduction methodologies
* Experience with supplier metrics & measurement methodologies and supporting systems.
* Strong skills in leadership, negotiations, influencing, communication & presentation, project management, troubleshooting & problem solving, analysis, strategic thinking, and collaborative team building.
* Strong judgment with the ability to make and communicate timely and sound decisions
* Fluent language skills in German and English speaking and writing
* Valid car driving liscence class B
