We are seeking for our headquarters in Heidelberg a highly motivated
(Senior) Software Developer (m/f/d)
As a member of the Product Development Team you will have the following tasks:
Participation in technically and content-wise demanding software development projects using Node.js, TypeScript, Python, Java and PostgreSQL
Conception and development of web applications which prepare and present information from the fields of personalized healthcare, Biology, and Chemistry
Analysis and implementation of requirements in close collaboration with Product Management and Research teams
Technical conception and architecture design to ensure scalability and performance of productive environments hosted in the AWS cloud
Your skills and qualifications:
At least two years of experience in development of software applications
Good understanding and experience in object-oriented and functional programming
Profound experience in development of modern and high-performance web applications:
Frameworks (e.g. Node.js, React)
Design and implementation of APIs
Design of effective database models and DB performance optimization
Design patterns and functional paradigms
Deployment pipelines
Keen interest in designing and implementing of user stories as full-stack developer
Familiar with common DevOps tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes etc.)
Ability to work independently, focused, goal- and team-oriented
Full English proficiency
