The mission of the »Modelling and Artificial Intelligence« department is to optimize processes, components and systems, including their reliability and resource efficiency during production and operation.
To support our team, we are looking for a working student in the field of “Classical and Quantum Computing for Molecular Chemistry” to start as soon as possible.
What you will do
* Literature research and identification of promising use cases for quantum computing in molecular chemistry
* Simulation of Hamiltonian dynamics or Hamiltonian eigenstates with classical and quantum algorithms
* Comparison of quantum algorithms with classical baselines
* Analysis and documentation of results
What you bring to the table
* Student in the field of chemistry, physics, material science or another related degree program with a scientific or engineering focus
* Advanced knowledge of classical chemical simulation such as DFT or other methods
* Basic knowledge of quantum computing (favourable, but not mandatory)
* Independent, goal-oriented and responsible working style

The position is initially limited to one year.
Your weekly working hours will be agreed by arrangement. You can determine your working days flexibly.
