Candidate can intervene either during Intent To Order and/or Order To Remittance stages and reports directly to the center engineering manager Essential responsibilities Convert project contractual documents into plant engineering requirements Define and/or control plant engineering planning for the project ensuring on-time delivery Release plant engineering deliverables as per project planning & cost without non-conformity Lead the plant engineers for the assigned project(s) (functional reports) Lead the design optimized substation & buildings layouts integrating all the required equipment considering their installation, operation, and maintenance constraints Interface with other disciplines Answer to client, partners & suppliers technical queries related to plant engineering Organize and perform projects design/gate reviews related to plant engineering & support other disciplinesu2019 ones when required. Lead change control impacting plant engineering deliverables & activities Support continuous improvement within engineering discipline Qualifications and Skills A bacheloru2019s degree in electrical/mechanical/civil engineering or related discipline Significant experience in engineering management for EPC project, ideally in primary design for substation, Statcom or HVDC projects Strong knowledge on High Voltage substation international standards & guidelines (IEC, CIGREu2026), local standards & guidelines (DINu2026) and related equipment Strong knowledge on contract and project management, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), or Engineering equipment package (EEP) type Minimum 4 years of experience in engineering management for EPC project, ideally in primary design for substation projects Proficient with Autodesk CAD tools Revit & Autodesk Construction Cloud Good understanding of onshore civil engineering and offshore platform design and requirements Leadership (management by influence), analytical mind, rigorous and commitment, Professional English spoken and written, fluency in German is a plus Mobility required (on-site visits or client meetings ~25% of the time) Who We Are GE Vernova u2013 Grid Systems Integration (GSI) is a rapidly growing business line within GE Vernova, the energy company that spun off from General Electric in 2024 to accelerate the global energy transition.
