Head of Product
As part of our global advertising and retail media platform, you will lead the product vision and execute a roadmap that defines the future of shopper activation. You will act as the bridge between the company’s leadership and our agile development teams, translating business goals into a clear, actionable product roadmap and owning the product lifecycle from concept to launch.
This is a hybrid position with three days per week in our Dortmund office.
What You Will Do
* Strategic Product Vision & Roadmap:
o Develop, own, and communicate the product vision and strategy for Retail Media’s suite of consumer‑activation products (e.g., Promotion Hub, eCouponing, Check‑out Couponing).
o Translate senior‑leadership goals into a prioritized roadmap, detailed user stories, and clear technical requirements.
* Bridge Leadership and Development:
o Act as the primary product evangelist, ensuring all teams understand the "why" behind the "what".
o Represent the development teams in C‑level and leadership meetings, providing updates, articulating challenges, and managing expectations.
* Cross‑Functional Execution:
o Lead and collaborate with agile teams, guiding sprints, backlog grooming, and release planning.
o Work closely with Key Account Management, Sales, and Marketing to understand client needs and market trends.
* Data‑Driven Leadership:
o Define and track key metrics (KPIs, OKRs) to measure success, engagement, and campaign effectiveness.
o Utilize retail and consumer data to identify new opportunities and improvements.
* Team & Stakeholder Management:
o Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
o Manage and prioritize stakeholder needs, from engineers to external retail partners.
What You Will Bring
* Proven Product Leadership: 5+ years in a senior product role with a track record of launching successful digital products.
* Technical Fluency: Comfortable discussing APIs, data structures, and POS integrations; experience in MarTech, AdTech, FinTech, or Retail Tech is a plus.
* The "Bridge" Personality: Exceptional communication and translation skills—present strategy to the board one day and dive into technical acceptance criteria the next.
* Agile & Scrum Mastery: Deep expertise in agile methodologies and sprint‑based product backlog management.
* Data‑Obsessed: Decisively analyze data rather than rely on intuition.
* Collaborative & Proactive: Natural leader who builds consensus and is passionate about building great products with a great team.
* Language: Fluency in English and German required.
