We’re working with a well-funded, research-driven biotech building a next-generation pipeline across early discovery and preclinical development. With multiple assets progressing and a clear translational focus, they’re now looking to bring in a Preclinical Manager to help shape and deliver in vivo strategy across key programmes.
This is a hands-on role with real visibility—ideal for someone who enjoys owning studies, influencing direction, and working closely with senior scientific leadership.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for the design, execution, and interpretation of preclinical studies, ensuring programmes move forward with robust, decision-ready data.
* Lead in vivo study design and execution across multiple programmes
* Manage and oversee CRO partnerships, timelines, and data quality
* Interpret complex datasets and translate findings into clear programme recommendations
* Work cross-functionally with discovery, translational, and clinical teams
* Support progression of assets toward IND-enabling studies
What They’re Looking For
* Strong background in preclinical development, ideally within biotech or pharma
* Proven experience designing and running in vivo studies
* Ability to own programmes, not just run experiments
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
* Experience interfacing with CROs and external partners
Why This Role
* Genuine ownership of programmes (not a “pair of hands” role)
* Direct exposure to senior leadership and strategic decisions
* Pipeline with clear translational intent, not just exploratory research
* Opportunity to shape how preclinical is built as the company scales
