Operating in 15 countries, with more than 1, experts dedicated to solar PV and high voltage, Equans Solar & Storage has installed over 6GW solar energy capacity worldwide, MWh BESS and is operating and maintaining approximately 2GW of solar PV plants.

The team youll be joining

You will be part of our fast-growing Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) engineering team, composed of over 10 colleagues and integrated within the larger Solar & Storage design team of more than 45 experts. Youll work in close collaboration with the BESS commercial and project management teams, which include around 15 professionals.

Together, we are actively managing a 2.5 GWh portfolio, with MWh already installed and 1.9 GWh currently under construction. Our ongoing projects span the UK, the Netherlands, and France, with upcoming deployments planned in Germany and Australia, and future developments in Italy, the Dominican Republic, and the Nordic countries.

What youll be leading

Youll report to Erik a passionate and committed manager, known for their team leadership and strategic vision.

Youll play a key role in an organization delivering ambitious, high-impact projects across Europe and internationally, contributing actively to the clean energy transition.

Your main responsibilities:

1. Manage the entire bidding process for the organization, from initial bid review to contract negotiation and closing the deal,
2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as business development, finance, legal, and project management teams, to ensure bids are complete, accurate, and meet the client's needs,
3. Capable to challenge input from internal stakeholders to optimize the customer solution
4. Prepare and submit bids and proposals to prospective clients, ensuring they meet client specifications and requirements,
5. Identify potential suppliers and subcontractors for materials and services required for projects, like aux transformers, cables, civil works, low voltage switchboards, etc.
6. Evaluate supplier and subcontractor proposals and negotiate contracts.
7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials and services.
8. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams to determine project needs and ensure alignment of procurement strategies with project goals.
9. Maintain a comprehensive database of all bids submitted, including wins, losses, and reasons for each outcome. With the objective to continuous improve the outcome.

The profile were looking for

10. Masters degree in Electrical Engineering
11. Proven experience (minimum 5 years) as a Bid Manager with a track record of winning bids, procurement activities and negotiating contracts in relevant sectors like solar, substations and BESS.
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and negotiate contracts with clients and stakeholders.
13. Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to analyze market trends, competitor activities and industry developments.
14. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
15. Knowledge of relevant software applications such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Salesforce.
16. Bilingual: German and English.
