Hauptaufgaben Serves as expert technical support to the Chief Mechanical Section all aspects of mechanical related facility maintenance, inspections and repairs. Supports the Sections Chief and Shop Foreman coordinating and inspecting the wide range of facility maintenance, repair and sustainability requirements in a solid operation and maintenance program. Serves as technical expert on work in trades such as Plumber, Pipefitter, Metal Worker, Heating Equipment Repairer or Heating Equipment Mechanic trades. Plans and inspects a variety of operation, maintenance and repairs on multiple, different types of mechanical related systems like Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), cooling, hot & cold water generation and distribution and various sanitation systems at the installation. (Coordinates, inspects and reviews services, maintenance and repair. Determines if work was performed in accordance with terms of applicable laws, regulations, Host-Nation or Army guidance, manuals or performance work statements. Inspects facilities and equipment. Evaluates use patterns and identifies maintenance, repair or restoration requirements. Coordinates with and assists Engineers to ensure adequate maintenance or restoration of mechanical systems, with minimum disruption. Conducts surveys to determine customer's facility requirements. Provides assistance to building contractors. Conducts site inspections and evaluations to validate modification requests and to determine the means and methods to fulfill the requests. Reviews and studies manufacturer's equipment maintenance, repair, and other descriptive literature covering materials and equipment to ensure they meet plans and specifications. Performs diagnostic inspections of facilities, related mechanical systems and equipment, and prepare inspection summaries and narrative assessments of mechanical systems and equipment conditions. Assists technical engineering personnel in developing, implementing and inspecting facility maintenance schedules, policies and procedures. Maintains schedules for maintenance and/or repair of facilities. Records and maintains information on Safety Certifications and inspections. Tracks and adjusts work orders related to mechanical facilities and systems. Works closely with shop Supervisors to project work schedules and recurring work plans. Schedules short- and long-range maintenance, repair, and minor construction requirements. Develops, maintains and updates variety of documents, like reports, schedules, inspection sheets, tables and databases. Develops and provides written reports in English and German language. Performs other duties as assigned.
