Hauptaufgaben The Radiology File Room Clerk works under general supervision and independently follows established procedures. The primary responsibility is to manage digital radiology exams received from military treatment facilities, deployed units, local hospitals, and U.S. embassies. The clerk processes and archives these exams, responds to inquiries, and ensures compliance with HIPAA regulations. They assist patients and staff by locating and releasing digital radiology records using systems such as FUJI Synapse (PACS), MHS Genesis, ECIA, and Medweb. The clerk prepares daily reports, supports physicians with research requests, and helps patients access their exams through secure portals or encrypted CDs. The role also includes front desk duties, serving as the first point of contact for patients and visitors in person, by phone, or email. The clerk verifies eligibility, provides clinic information, and resolves basic administrative issues. They maintain digital files, perform data entry, and manage incoming documentation from external sources. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifikationsanforderungen E&T Level I: 2 years of creditable experience as defined in A below. Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of creditable experience as described in A below. E&T Level II: 1 year of creditable experience as defined in A below. E&T Level III and above: No additional experience required. Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade. Experience A: Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc. Auswahlkriterien auswählen * Knowledge of Basic Medical Terminology desired. * Knowledge of Medical Terminology desired. * Employee must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs (23 kg) English and German Language Proficiency Level B2 required. Beschäftigungsbedingungen * This is a permanent full-time position (38.5 hours/ week). * Relocation expenses are not authorized. * It is highly recommended that all employees who provide work in military treatment facilities in Germany be immunized against seasonal influenza infection each year or as often as recommended. Non-U.S. citizen family members, except German citizens are exempt from this requirement. * Upon appointment with the U.S. Forces it is required to present two valid picture identifications to get access to the computer systems. Recognized documents are only: Personal ID (Personalausweis), Personal Travel Identification (Reisepass) and the European Union (EU) Driver's License (plastic card format). We recommend ensuring at the time of application that at least two of these documents are available or requested. * Foreign National Screening (Sicherheitsüberprüfung): In accordance with U.S. Army Europe Regulation 604-1, within three days after appointment, a background check will be initiated to determine suitability for continued employment with the U.
