The Database Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring the stability, performance, security and availability of our database environments. This position involves managing daily operations, handling incidents, implementing changes and maintaining high service quality for customers.
* Daily Operations Management: Manage day-to-day database operations to ensure stability and performance.
* Service Request Handling: Handle service requests, incident resolution and implementation of changes to meet business needs.
* System Maintenance: Install, configure and maintain database system software to support business operations.
* Database Migration: Perform and manage database migrations to Oracle 19C.
* Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and optimize database efficiency.
* Database Refreshes: Execute database refreshes as required by business needs.
* Security Management: Ensure database security through proper access control and permission management.
* Backup and Recovery: Manage backup and recovery of databases using Oracle RMAN, ensuring full disaster recovery capability.
* High Availability Solutions: Configure and administer Oracle High Availability solutions using RAC & Data Guard.
* Improvement Proposals: Propose and implement improvements for database maintenance, reliability, performance and security.

Required Skills and Qualifications
* Proven Experience: Proven experience as a Database Administrator with Oracle databases.
* Oracle Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Oracle 19C and experience with database migrations.
* Backup and Recovery Expertise: Expertise in backup and recovery strategies (RMAN).
* RAC Experience: Experience with Oracle RAC for scalability, high availability and disaster recovery.
* Database Security Understanding: Good understanding of database security, roles and permissions.
* Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyse and troubleshoot performance issues.
* Teamwork: Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
* Language Skills: Fluent in English, French is an asset.
* Education Requirements: 6 years of similar experience and a bachelor degree in IT.
