Our client is a leading global renewable energy developer operating right across the renewables sector with a pipeline of Onshore Wind projects. With an extensive project pipeline in Germany, the company combines international scale with local expertise to deliver sustainable energy solutions.
The Role
The Regional Head of Project Development will lead and support a team of 10 people in Brandenburg, driving forward the early phases of wind energy projects. This includes land acquisition, repowering, planning, and stakeholder engagement. The role requires a balance between hands-on project involvement and effective people management, ensuring both individual and team success.
Key Responsibilities
 * Lead, develop, and support a regional team of project developers, land acquisition specialists, and support staff.
 * Manage the early stages of wind projects, with a strong focus on land acquisition and repowering, alongside greenfield development.
 * Build and maintain strong networks with landowners, municipalities, and local stakeholders in Brandenburg.
 * Ensure project milestones and targets are met, with clear accountability for securing new capacity.
 * Represent the company and the team in regional matters, providing leadership and clear direction.
Candidate Profile
 * 5+ years of professional experience in wind project development.
 * 1-2 years of proven leadership or people management experience.
 * Strong knowledge of Brandenburg’s renewable energy landscape and existing networks with key stakeholders.
 * Experience in repowering is highly advantageous.
 * Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
 * Fluent German language skills (spoken and written) are essential.
