Your Job:
1. Building and improving the existing measurement setup
2. Performing controlled "leak" experiments and collecting high-speed data
3. Working in high vacuum applications such as Einstein Telescope (ET)
4. Calibrating piezoelectric force sensors and pressure sensors
5. Analyzing pressure-front propagation and comparing with simple gas-dynamics models
6. Assisting in the design or testing of protective mechanical components ( fast shutters)
7. Preparing visualizations, reports and documentation for future experiments
Your Profile:
8. Very good grades in your current bachelor studies in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or comparable
9. A good knowledge of sensors, experimental setups and adjustment
10. Programming knowledge in Python for evaluation and validation
11. Experience in measurement technology in general
12. Self-motivated approach to work
13. Willingness to familiarize yourself with new topics ( Einstein Telescope & vacuum)
14. Good knowledge of written and spoken English is mandatory, knowledge of German would be an advantage
