Senior Business Development Manager- Rostock, Germany Join to apply for the Senior Business Development Manager- Rostock, Germany role at Microbiologics Brief Description We are seeking an accomplished and driven Senior Business Development Manager to join our team in Rostock, Germany. In this role, you will lead business development initiatives across U.S. and international markets, focusing on the clinical genomics, molecular IVD (in vitro diagnostics), and molecular assay sectors. You will build strategic partnerships, expand key corporate accounts, and drive growth through innovative, customer-focused solutions that align with corporate and regulatory goals. Some key duties in this role include: Lead business development efforts to achieve revenue and profitability goals across U.S. and international markets. Identify, acquire, and expand key accounts, particularly with molecular assay developers in pharma, IVD, and related life science sectors. Develop and execute strategic sales plans, market expansion initiatives, and partnership programs with distributors and area managers. Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and events through networking, presentations, and technical discussions. Collaborate closely with Marketing and R&D to align product development, positioning, and customer solutions with market needs. Deliver scientific, technical, and regulatory support to customers, ensuring superior service and satisfaction. Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to senior leadership to guide strategic decision-making. Build strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and cross-functional teams to advance organizational goals. What makes you a good fit? Here is what we are looking for: Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Life Sciences or related field required; PhD or equivalent preferred. 10+ years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or marketing within molecular diagnostics, clinical genomics, or life sciences. Proven success in international B2B business development, strategic account management, and revenue growth. Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with a creative and strategic mindset. Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM (Salesforce), and ERP systems (NetSuite, BusinessCentral). Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and relevant regulatory and quality standards. Fluent in English; German proficiency preferred. Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally. Who is Microbiologics?
