Company Siemens Energy Global GmbH & Co. KG Organization Grid Technologies Business Unit Digital Grid Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day You begin by reviewing the latest progress on next generation monitoring solutions for overhead transmission & distribution lines - covering sensors, drone enabled inspections, satellite & weather data integrations, digital twins, and predictive software analytics. You meet with engineering, operations, and analytics teams to align on key milestones such as lightweight line sensors, environmental data integrations, and new detection capabilities for sag, clearance, thermal behavior & fault analytics. In the afternoon, you shape portfolio investment decisions, refine global rollout plans, collaborate with regions on customer use cases, and ensure ongoing alignment of hardware, software, and analytics development. You close the day preparing the next major release of monitoring features that increase grid capacity, situational awareness, and network resilience. How You’ll Make an Impact
4. Own the global Overheadline (OHL) Monitoring portfolio, covering full solution lifecycles for conductor temperature, sag, clearance, mechanical behavior, fault analytics, and environmental risk monitoring, across brownfield and greenfield deployments.
5. Drive innovation in sensing and data acquisition, including next generation lightweight and drone installable sensors, modular architectures, multi modal line sensors, drone imaging/LiDAR, and satellite and weather data integrations.
6. Advance grid aware analytics and real time intelligence, shaping capabilities such as dynamic line rating, thermal modeling, extreme weather and wildfire predictions, anomaly detection, and asset behavior trend analysis.
7. Enable future ready inspection and digital twin integration, ensuring seamless convergence of live monitoring, inspection outputs (LiDAR, UV/IR, RGB, vegetation), and standardized data structures for planning, maintenance, and regulatory use cases.
8. Support Cable Monitoring as a Complementary Domain, driving harmonized data and analytics approaches to support customers requiring end to end transmission corridor visibility.
9. Lead financial, organizational, and external engagement responsibilities, including full ownership of R&D, CAPEX, and OPEX, cross functional global team leadership, and representation of Siemens Energy with utilities, regulators, partners, and at industry forums.
