We are looking for an
EU Manager SCM & Procurement (m/f/d)
to join our global Supply Chain Management team.
Possible Locations:
* Leuna facility.
* or Berlin office.
The EU SCM & Procurement Manager is responsible for tactically sourcing input materials, indirect products & services to support the EU business and optimize both facility and commercial operations.
This role will be a key support for Aurora's EU Manufacturing Site as well as the logistics and planning teams. This role is responsible for strategically identifying cost savings opportunities, support the onboarding of new vendors, manage in market supply contracts and support in market annual procurement budgeting process and adherence. Strong vendor relationship management and a process improvement approach are among the pillars for success.
Responsibilities
* Tactically support the E2@ Procurement of direct & indirect products and services to optimize facility and commercial operations.
* Support creation and maintenance of tools to for cost controls, supplier and product compliance.
* Develop and implement KPIs.
* Source and approve new suppliers to support existing and new projects.
* Control and approve invoices and process through appropriate cost centers.
* Ensure spend approvals are maintained in line with the delegation of authority (DOA) matrix.
* Negotiate and route supply contracts to execution.
* Support team in resolving order status exceptions, issues with supplier contract compliance, and post-receipt actions to all internal cross functional stakeholders.
* Ensure optimized purchase order management which supports production schedules, suppliers' price break points and storage restrictions.
* Lead EU Budget process with respect to Purchases.
* Mentor and coach procurement staff.
* Strategically identify cost savings opportunities and develop market insights.
* Lead cost savings initiatives for their teams.
* Demonstrate excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
* Conduct cost analysis on inbound materials and maintain optimal benchmark rates.
* Identify and resolve risks to supply continuity.
* Support the sourcing and qualification of suppliers.
* Issue and manage RFQs, providing recommendations to the Manager of Procurement.
* Build and support strong long-term relationships with suppliers.
* Identify waste and seek opportunities for cost reduction/optimization in the supply chain.
* Other Duties:
* Back up support as required in EU Planning as it relates to EU Import Permits, Warehousing Planning & Customs.
* Lead new key initiatives or tasks as required.
Qualifications
* Completion of a degree, preferably with a focus in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics discipline.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement.
* 2+ years in production or manufacturing environment would be an asset.
* Experience in Import/Export and Regulatory Compliance is an asset.
* Initial experience in a management position with personnel responsibility.
* Project Management capabilities- proven track record of leading and delivering cross functional projects.
* Excel at working independently and with exceptional problem-solving skills.
* Ability to create and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders.
* Worked with Sage X3 or other ERP systems, Microsoft Power Bi, Smartsheet, or other analytical tools.
* Work cross-functionally with commercial, operations & QA in our Global Matrix Organization.
* Ensuring all cross functional team needs are recognized and met.
* Work in a customer centric manner.
* Represent the company positively and with integrity.
* Fluency in German (written and spoken) is required.
* Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
