Job Description
The Senior Finance Associate takes on a key role within the finance team and is responsible for maintaining the highest standards in the areas of financial reporting, control and compliance. This role includes managing accounting processes (O2C, S2P, R2R), supporting tax reporting, auditing and working capital management.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Preparation and review of annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and US GAAP
2. Ensure compliance and controls in line with all internal and external guidelines (SOX, Global Financial Policies, Ethics & Compliance)
3. Interface management and coordination of financial activities to ensure smooth processes with all internal and external shared service centers
4. Primary point of contact for financial standards, process documentation, and training materials to ensure proper execution of day-to-day operations
5. Collaborate with ESC on monthly accounting and reporting to GAAP
6. Conduct the review and approval of cash flow forecasts
7. The position holder will act as a technical expert for the preparation of the HGB financial position
8. Depending on the projects Elanco is pursuing, the job holder will be asked to participate either as an individual employee or as a coordinator
9. Working closely with the tax department to simplify internal and external tax submissions
What We Expect
10. Technical/university degree in economics with a focus on finance and accounting
11. Very good knowledge of US-GAAP and HGB
12. Min. 3 years of professional experience in the financial sector as an Accountant
13. Strong analytical skills
14. Very good knowledge of English and of German
15. Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office
16. SAP and One Stream are a plus
