The Managing Director holds ultimate responsibility for the overall strategic leadership and direction of the company within the German market. This role encompasses the management and oversight of key functional areas, including Sales, Operations, Category, HR, and Finance, ensuring that each department operates in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. The Managing Director plays a pivotal role in driving growth, profitability and innovation while maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence. Reporting to the group CEO.
Work tasks
* Define and implement the overall business strategy, ensuring alignment with the broader corporate goals set by the parent company.
* Lead and oversee the Sales, Operations, Category, HR, and Finance departments, ensuring that each function contributes effectively to the company’s strategic objectives.
* Drive business growth and profitability through strategic planning, market expansion, and operational efficiency.
* Foster a culture of innovation, identifying and implementing new opportunities for business development and technological advancement.
* Serve as the primary liaison between the German subsidiary and the Swedish parent company, ensuring clear and consistent communication with the CEO and other senior executives.
* Establish and monitor key performance indicators across all departments, ensuring that targets are met and reporting results to the parent company.
* Ensure that all operations comply with local and international regulations, and develop strategies to mitigate business risks.
* Build a high performing team by focusing on strengthening the organizational culture in line with company values and leadership framework, talent development and employee engagement.
* Manage the financial performance of the German operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial goals.

* Achieve a high level of employee engagement
* Key KPIs: Revenue, margin, EBITA, Cashflow, ROCE, Customer net increase,employee engagement

Candidate Profile
Qualifications
* A university degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
* Extensive experience in a senior leadership role, preferably as a Managing Director or equivalent, with a strong track record in leading multiple functions within a company.
* Experience and track record of rapidly scaling a company to a substantial business, preferrable in a financial leasing contract environment
* Fluency in both German and English, with excellent communication skills in both languages.
