Your office is the world but in combination with traditional office duties at designated Siemens Energy Germany locations.How You’ll Make an Impact
4. Implement and test changes to Power Plant process control software.
5. Commissioning and general handling of automation components and field instrumentation ( Distributed Control System (DCS) components, sensors & actuators, control/regulation loops etc.).
6. Analysis and optimization of combined cycle power plant (GUD) process issues.
7. Compile records and reports to document field activities and testing for quality assurance purposes.
8. Prepare load/gas forecasts and execute tests to demonstrate operational readiness.
9. Provide adequate support to operation and maintenance personnel.
What You Bring
10. Bachelor/Master of Engineering (mechanical and process design with a basic knowledge in electric/electronics) preferably with long term experience in the relevant field of work.
11. Knowledge and understanding of combined cycle power plant (GUD) process, incl. gas-/steam turbine and generator units, HRSG’s (Heat Recovery Steam Generator) and BoP (Balance of Plant), and detailed understanding of technical equipment/plant equipment items and ability to work with technical documentation, knowledge of general power plant technology. Knowledge of the T3000 automation system is essential.
12. Excellent knowledge of technical English is mandatory; knowledge of German would be beneficial. Strong analytical skills with an affinity for technology and innovation combined with a proactive work ethic.
13. Team player with high level of resilience, the ability to work independently under pressure, multitask and focus on problem solving in a complex environment collaborating within international teams.
14. High degree of flexibility, unrestricted mobility. Willing to travel internationally on short notice and work flexible hours.
15. Ability to work and communicate effectively in a cross-cultural team environment.
