Overview
Head of Marketing Strategy and Operations role at AutoStore. The role partners with the SVP Growth Marketing, Brand & PR and the Global Marketing Leadership Team to orchestrate and integrate key marketing processes, ensuring flawless execution of strategic initiatives, financial discipline, and operational excellence across the global marketing function.
This role is located in EMEA and focuses on governance, planning, and performance management, driving alignment with company objectives and accountability through consistent reporting and process excellence.
Responsibilities
* Drive the annual and quarterly marketing planning process in partnership with leadership (budget, goals, and KPIs).
* Build and maintain the Global Marketing Governance Calendar (business reviews, business performance reviews, strategy offsites, EMT updates).
* Partner with leadership on the preparation of strategy papers, board updates, and executive presentations that inform decision-making.
* Manage and track delivery of key strategic initiatives across global marketing pillars (Brand & Content, Performance & Demand, Partner & Customer Marketing).
* Ensure program timelines, interdependencies, and risks are clearly documented and communicated.
* Establish and own Ways of Working framework, including meeting cadences, decision-making processes, and documentation standards.
* Support OPEX budget management: track spend, forecast variances, and highlight optimization opportunities.
* Consolidate and review monthly and quarterly marketing performance metrics in collaboration with operations and analytics teams.
* Prepare financial and operational dashboards for EMT and SVP review.
* Define, implement, and continuously improve global marketing processes (campaign planning, launch processes, quarterly business reviews, KPI tracking).
* Act as the guardian of cross-functional alignment, ensuring marketing, sales, product, and regional teams operate in sync.
* Create and maintain a central repository of processes, playbooks, and templates for the marketing organization.
* Act as a trusted advisor and right hand to the SVP Growth Marketing & PR, providing insight, structure, and follow-up on priorities.
* Facilitate leadership team meetings, including agenda setting, preparation of pre-reads, and tracking of actions and decisions.
* Support in change management and internal communications for new initiatives and organizational updates.
Qualifications
* 8+ years of experience in PMO, strategy, marketing operations, or management consulting (experience in B2B tech or global matrix organizations preferred).
* Proven track record of managing cross-functional programs and delivering outcomes on time and within budget.
* Strong business acumen and ability to interpret financial data, marketing metrics, and operational KPIs.
* Exceptional organizational, communication, and facilitation skills.
* Advanced proficiency with project management tools (Asana, Jira, Smartsheet, Monday.com, or similar), financial reporting tools, and MS Office/Google Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
* Strategic thinker with the ability to simplify complexity and influence at senior levels.
