Key Responsibilities Leading site search and acquisition for projects such as deep drilling sites, geothermal plants, and pipeline systems Negotiating with landowners to secure land via purchase, lease, or permits Building strong relationships with landowners, local authorities, community groups, and other stakeholders Representing the company at public events, such as roadshows, municipal meetings, and community information sessions Acting as a key link between project planning and execution, working closely with internal teams across development, project management, and permitting Supporting land-related aspects of the permitting and approvals process Requirements A degree in environmental sciences, geosciences, engineering, spatial planning, landscape architecture, or a similar field is ideal However, experience in agriculture, law, public administration, or political work—especially with a strong regional network in the Upper Rhine Valley—is just as valuable You bring strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to adapt your approach to different audiences Fluency in German is essential Knowledge of permitting, planning law, and GIS tools is a plus A valid class B driver’s license and willingness to travel, including some evening and weekend events is required.
