Key Roles
We are seeking an accomplished professional to fill a Senior Accounting Manager position. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading statutory accounting and pension-related financial processes for multiple entities across Germany and Austria.
* The role requires the preparation and review of statutory financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, notes, and management reports.
* Additionally, the individual will be responsible for GAAP-to-GAAP adjustments and ensuring audit readiness for multiple entities.
* They will also coordinate actuarial valuations for defined benefit plans and manage assets.
* Furthermore, the successful candidate will analyze and calculate deferred taxes and maintain documentation.
* Supporting intercompany pricing models and recharges is also a critical aspect of the job.
* The ideal candidate will provide accounting advisory services to cross-functional teams and support corporate audits.
* They will contribute to global and local projects with accounting expertise.
* A drive for process improvements and knowledge sharing across finance and shared service teams is essential.
* A degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics is required.
* At least 7 years of professional experience in financial accounting/reporting, preferably in a multinational environment.
* Strong knowledge of German/Austrian Commercial Code and US-GAAP is necessary.
* Experience with statutory reporting, pension accounting, and deferred tax calculations is required.
* Proficiency in SAP FI and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is essential.
* Excellent written and spoken German skills are a must, along with fluent written and spoken English skills.
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex topics into actionable processes are crucial.
* Effective communication and stakeholder engagement are vital.
