About The Role
We are developing a modern, cloud-based web application within Sphere XG for uploading, processing, and managing 3D scan data, including support for multiple scan formats, time-based project versioning, and collaborative workflows.
As the complexity of our UI and feature set grows, we're looking for a Working Student in QA Automation to actively support our development team.
In this role, you'll work closely with developers and stakeholders to understand key workflows and help ensure the stability and reliability of the platform.
This position is ideal for a student with a strong interest in web technologies, automated testing, and hands-on quality assurance in a professional, agile software development environment.
Your Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain end-to-end test scripts for our web application (React + TypeScript)
* Work closely with developers and product owners to define test scenarios and edge case coverage
* Implement automated tests into our CI pipelines
* Help define and track quality KPIs, test coverage, and performance benchmarks
* Support exploratory testing during sprints and pre-release phases
* Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of our QA strategy
Tech Stack You'll Work With
* React, TypeScript
* Playwright (for E2E testing)
* Git,, REST APIs, JSON
* Vitest (Jest-like testing framework)
Note: You won't need to manage cloud infrastructure – we have dedicated infrastructure experts for that.
Your Profile
* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
* First experience or strong interest in software testing and automation
* Familiarity with web technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript or TypeScript)
* Structured mindset with strong attention to detail
* Good communication skills in English; German or Portuguese is a plus
