We are looking for a talented and passionate Simulation Engineer to join our dynamic team on an advanced engineering project in Southern Germany.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced numerical simulation methods for complex engineering problems related to mechanical integrity and thermal behavior
- Build and maintain high-fidelity simulation models for eBike drive systems with a focus on thermal and mechanical performance
- Perform thermal and CFD simulations, ensuring accurate modeling and realistic behavior under different operating conditions
- Collaborate closely with mechanical development, sensor teams, and validation engineers to align simulation results with real-world performance
- Analyze, interpret, and validate simulation results, ensuring consistency and reliability of outcomes
- Propose and implement optimization strategies based on simulation insights
- Validate simulation models through comparison with experimental measurements
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of simulation methodologies and processes
- Provide clear and structured technical documentation of models, results, and validation processes
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Strong experience with numerical simulation methods
- Solid knowledge of:
- Proven experience in:
- Hands-on experience with simulation tools such as:
- Good understanding of simulation validation and data correlation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in an international and multidisciplinary environment
- Professional level of English
- Basic proficiency in German is a plus
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Ansys, Fluent, or OpenFOAM
- Background in automotive, eMobility, or bike-related industries
- Affinity with cycling / eBike technologies
- Experience working on complex industrial products
- Knowledge of multi-physics simulations (thermal + structural)
- Ability to present and explain technical results to non-experts
- Experience working in cross-functional engineering teams
