The Kiel Institute for the World Economy (Kiel Institute) is seeking a

based in Berlin, to start in January 2026.
The Kiel Institute aims to be Europe's preeminent research institute for global economic affairs, combining cutting-edge research on par with leading economics departments with visible and lasting policy impact on the national and international level.
For our renowned German Real Estate Index (GREIX) research project and the Kiel-CEPR Research Hub in Berlin, we are looking for a highly motivated part time (75%) (Junior) Outreach Manager located in Berlin.
GREIX is a highly relevant research project with significant media visibility that aims to promote transparency in the German real estate market. We combine data from notarized transaction databases with rental offer data to provide academia, policymakers and the public with up-to-date information on the German real estate market. We also conduct comprehensive economic research on real estate markets.
Our Berlin office – the Kiel-CEPR Research Hub jointly with the Centre for Economic Policy Research – plays a central role in disseminating our research. As an international hub in the capital, the Berlin office serves as a dynamic research location and meeting place for exchanges with policymakers, the business community, think tanks and the media. In close cooperation with CEPR, we organize a wide range of formats for exchange and discussion, from exclusive roundtables held under the Chatham House Rule to multi-day academic conferences.
This is a unique opportunity for early-career outreach professionals to use their practical experience in science communication and event management to make the Kiel Institute's research visible and tangible through modern communication formats and effective exchange platforms, to place topics and ideas on the policy agenda, to shape the economic policy debate and to foster academic exchange – at the interface of research, policy advice and education.
