Kleinanzeigen is Germany’s largest re-commerce platform, combining unique inventory from private and commercial sellers with a simple, trusted, and local buying experience. As we enter a new growth cycle with more sophisticated pricing, API-based integrations, new PRO packages, and a consultative sales motion, you play a key role in elevating our SMB commercial ecosystem to the next level. You build a high-performing, data-driven sales organisation that scales with our ambitions.
This is a hybrid role, our office is located in Berlin-Charlottenburg. You report to the Director B2C and Advertising.
What You’ll Do
* Act as the senior commercial leader for SMBs within Kleinanzeigen PRO, representing the sales organisation at executive level and contributing to company-wide strategy, priorities, and decision-making.
* Define and own the long-term SMB commercial strategy, aligning revenue ambition, market segmentation, pricing and packaging, and go-to-market models with Kleinanzeigen’s overall growth objectives.
* Set the direction for a scalable, data-driven sales organisation by establishing clear success metrics, forecasting standards, performance management frameworks, and governance, while ensuring strong commercial effectiveness across sales operations, tooling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
* Build, lead, and develop senior sales leaders and managers, ensuring strong leadership depth, clear accountability, and a high-performance culture, while acting as a role model and ambassador for Kleinanzeigen’s values and leadership principles internally and externally.
* Champion the SMB customer voice across the organisation by shaping customer experience, strengthening long-term partnerships, and ensuring retention, loyalty, and lifetime value growth.
* Serve as a strategic partner to Product, Tech (P&T), Marketing, Analytics, and Operations, translating market signals and customer insights into product strategy and roadmap priorities, and leveraging modern tooling and AI-enabled capabilities to improve commercial impact and decision-making.
Who You Are
* You bring 10+ years of senior commercial leadership experience, with a strong track record of building, scaling, and leading high-performing sales organisations in SMB, digital, marketplace, tech, or media environments.
* You are an executive-level leader who can represent sales at senior management level, shape company strategy, clearly articulate commercial priorities and trade-offs, and lead with confidence through ambiguity and change.
* You have proven success in defining and executing long-term go-to-market and sales strategies, including segmentation, pricing and packaging, revenue planning, and scalable growth models.
* You combine commercial judgment with analytical rigor, using data, forecasting, and market insights to guide decisions and identify growth opportunities.
* You are experienced in leading leaders, building strong management layers, and fostering a culture of accountability, ownership, and high performance.
* You operate effectively in complex, matrix organisations, influencing across Product, Tech (P&T), Marketing, Analytics, and Operations without direct authority.
* You are customer-focused and value-driven, with a passion for consultative selling, long-term partnerships, and sustainable revenue growth.
* You are fluent in German and English and bring the leadership maturity expected of a Director role.
