Legal Counsel - Berlin

SR2 are partnering with an innovative clean energy organisation that works alongside real estate owners to accelerate decarbonisation and deliver renewable energy solutions across Europe.
As growth continues, we are supporting them in hiring a commercially minded and proactive Legal Counsel to become their primary legal advisor and strategic partner to leadership.
This is an opportunity to shape the legal framework of a scaling renewable energy portfolio while working at the forefront of the energy transition.
What you’ll be doing:
* Acting as the trusted legal advisor to senior leadership and cross-functional teams
* Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex commercial agreements including:
* Energy supply agreements
* EPC and O&M contracts
* Leasing and rental agreements
* PPAs and energy-related commercial contracts
* Supporting strategic business decisions with clear, practical legal guidance
* Monitoring and ensuring compliance across:
* Energy regulation
* Data protection
* Labour law
* Corporate governance
* Tracking regulatory developments and adapting contracts accordingly
* Managing and coordinating external legal counsel where required
* Supporting business development with NDAs and partnership agreements
* Advising on operational contract implementation
* Collaborating with finance and billing teams on legal-financial matters
What we’re looking for:
* Qualified lawyer with strong experience in commercial and energy law
* Proven exposure to renewable technologies such as:
* Solar
* Battery storage
* Heat pumps
* CHP
* EV charging
* Strong contract law expertise (PPAs, supply, real estate, M&A, rental agreements)
* Experience in project environments and process optimisation
* Confident communicator and skilled negotiator
* Fluent German and English (essential)
