Senior Electrical Engineer – BESS Germany (Munich preferred, flexible)

The company has been developing and delivering energy projects in Germany for over
15 years
and recently secured significant backing from a global private equity and infrastructure fund with close to
$300bn in assets under management. With strong financial foundations and a long-term strategy, the business is now expanding its
utility-scale BESS portfolio
across Germany.
To support this growth, the company is seeking a
Senior Electrical Engineer
to play a key role in the
design, technical development, and delivery of large-scale battery energy storage projects, from concept through to commissioning.
The Role Lead and support the electrical design of utility-scale BESS projects Define technical requirements from early development through construction and commissioning Review and manage electrical studies, specifications, and drawings (HV/LV, protection, SCADA, grid connection) Act as the technical interface with EPC contractors, OEMs, grid operators, and consultants Support procurement, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and technical due diligence Ensure compliance with German grid codes, standards, and HSE requirements
The Ideal Profile Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline Proven experience working on large-scale energy, power, renewables, or BESS projects Strong knowledge of HV/MV/LV systems, grid connection, protection schemes, and commissioning Experience working with German grid operators and regulatory standards Fluent in German and English Comfortable working in a growing organisation with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset
