Your tasks:
* Responsibility for the implementation of the marine underwriting strategy within Marine Global Risks (Auto OEM, Commodities and Project Cargo)
* Development of coverage concepts in cooperation with our branch offices (co-underwriting)
* Decision regarding pricing and scope of cover
* Assumption of responsibility for the underwriting decision
* Portfolio steering regarding Marine Global Risks based on defined key performance indicators
* Implementation and maintenance of underwriting guidelines and standards (expert groups, audit, UW governance)
* Promoting collaboration with related functions in home office as well as between home office and branch offices
* Supporting the training and professional development of underwriters
Your profile
* Completed training in insurance and finance and further training as an insurance specialist or completed studies with a focus on business administration or law or logistics
* Experience in marine underwriting, especially cargo, stock throughput and corporate risks
* Analytical skills and numerical reasoning
* Strong communication skills in conducting talks and negotiations
* Fluent in written and spoken English, other foreign languages welcome
* Willingness to travel within and outside Europe
