For our Corporate Development, we are looking for a Director Corporate Development (m/f/d) at our Hamburg location – someone who shares our drive to go one step further in shaping strategic growth and unlocking new opportunities.
Your Responsibilities
4. Develop and implement strategic growth initiatives with a clear roadmap for the HOYER Group, closely aligned with merger and acquisition activities
5. Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets and lead comprehensive due diligence processes
6. Collaborate closely with the CEO and other senior executives to plan and execute strategic initiatives
7. Lead key projects focused on operational excellence and major M&A activities, including due diligence, post-merger integration, and negotiation of purchase agreements
8. Drive cross-functional initiatives aimed at long-term value creation and business optimization
9. Define and execute corporate strategy, including portfolio management and capital allocation across regions, business units, and product lines
10. Partner with senior leadership to ensure strategic alignment and successful execution
11. The Director of Corporate Development is part of the Operating Board and reports directly to the CEO
Your Expertise
12. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Logistics (or equivalent). A Master’s degree or MBA is highly desirable
13. Relevant certifications in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Mergers & Acquisitions are a strong advantage
14. Extensive international experience in strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate development—ideally within the logistics or B2B services sector
15. Proven track record in business administration, finance, or a closely related field
16. Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional initiatives and aligning with executive leadership in a matrixed organization
17. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work closely with senior executives and stakeholders
18. Strong leadership and project management skills are also important, as the Director will be responsible for leading various strategic initiatives and projects
19. Deep understanding of the industry and market dynamics, trends and insights
20. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization
21. Strong coaching and mentoring abilities to support team development and performance
22. Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential
23. Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally as needed
