Senior PEGA Low Code Architect – Public Sector Payments
A large public‑sector programme is seeking an experienced Senior PEGA Low Code Architect / Developer to support the design and implementation of a generic payments execution and authorisation platform.
The focus of this role is on building reusable, configurable PEGA components that support secure, compliant payment processing within a funding / benefits environment. The outcome is a sustainable platform that can be extended and reused across multiple domains.
Project details:
* Contract length: 7 months + extension
* Start date: May
* Location: Remote, with x1 day per month on‑site in Nuremberg, Germany (car travel, fuel costs covered)
* Language: German is mandatory
* Seniority: Senior / Architect level
Key Responsibilities
* Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into robust PEGA architectures
* Design generic, reusable PEGA components for payment execution and authorisation
* Make architectural decisions between PEGA configuration and platform extension
* Implement and test PEGA Low‑Code solutions to a high quality standard
* Ensure maintainability, stability, and long‑term reusability of all components
* Support integration with surrounding enterprise systems (including SAP‑based landscapes)
* Create and maintain technical and process documentation
* Contribute to ongoing enhancement and evolution of the payments platform
Required Experience
* Strong experience as a Senior PEGA Low‑Code Architect or Lead Developer
* Proven background in payment processing, disbursements, or public‑sector financial systems
* Experience designing generic / reusable PEGA applications with modular architectures
* Knowledge of compliance‑driven and regulated environments
* Confident working with complex business rules, calculations, and approval workflows
* Experience with public‑sector organisations, funding platforms, benefits systems, or SAP‑integrated solutions is highly advantageous.
