As a Mechanical Egineer/Designer (f/m/d), you play a key role in developing sophisticated technical solutions that meet the high demands of our projects. Working closely with project managers, engineering teams, and external partners, you shape mechanical systems that make our data centers efficient, reliable, and future-proof. Your profile
* Expertise in designing and delivering mechanical systems for data centers
* Expertise in mechanical system modelling and software tools, including AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM platforms for mechanical design.
* Expertise in CFD modelling software for simulation and optimization.
* Expertise in Energy modelling systems
* Comprehensive understanding of EU environmental standards, EN & ASHRAE standards, ISO certifications, and local building codes for designing mechanical systems.
* Familiarity with sustainability frameworks and technologies for optimized performance.
* Proven Project Management Skills
* Ability to handle complex mechanical scopes across multiple simultaneous projects
* Generating detailed documentation, reports, and technical reviews, ensuring compliance across all stages of development.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, capable of working across multidisciplinary teams and with external contractors..
* Problem-solving skills for resolving on-site challenges
* Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.
* Experience: Minimum 10+ years of technical/experience delivering mechanical systems for developer-led data center projects, industrial facilities, or similar mission-critical environments.
* Languages: Fluency in German (required), Fluency in English (required)

Your mission
Mechanical Engineer/Designer (f/m/d) will take ownership of the mechanical Design for Maincubes projects. This role combines technical expertise in designing, testing, and optimizing mechanical systems as a supporting expert for the development team.
* Serve as the subject matter expert for the design of mechanical systems
* Review detailed engineering specifications and calculations for all mechanical systems ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
* Optimise efficiency across mechanical systems to achieve maximum performance and minimize operating costs.
* Responsible for the Mechanical "Base of Design" for maincubes
* Lead mechanical scopes across multible phases of development, including early-stage development, design reviews, and tendering
* Collaborate with wider development teams during pre-construction planning and design phases
* Support the construction team during construction process, acting as a design support
* Manage design consultants throughout the development process of the design
* Incorporate energy optimization technologies and carbon reduction strategies into designs and achieving optimal PUE targets.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, vendors, and consultants
* Develop modular mechanical solutions, especially prefabrication strategies to reduce construction timelines and costs.
* Driving mechanical Value Engineering Solutions and proactivly working on Lessons Learnd implementations
