Position Overview
Morgan Latif has been exclusively retained by a global client within the Industrial Technology sector to appoint a team build out of Strategic Supply Chain Planners across various key sites in Germany. This pivotal role will be instrumental in shaping a resilient, forward-thinking planning strategy across multiple production sites.
This is a highly visible position that serves as a central interface between Product Management, Supply Chain, Production, Purchasing, and Sales. The successful candidate will drive long-term, integrated planning with a focus on transparency, capacity balancing, and sustainable delivery capability.
Key Responsibilities
* Align demand and capacity planning across sites as part of a robust Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
* Coordinate inputs from Sales, Production, and Purchasing to support cross-functional decision-making.
* Identify and mitigate supply risks while managing buffer stocks and lead times.
* Collaborate closely with production teams to ensure feasible capacity and resource allocation.
* Contribute to strategic site planning through capacity analysis within various Centers of Competence (CoCs).
* Support outsourcing and make-or-buy strategies in cooperation with Purchasing and Production.
* Enable long-term capacity planning to inform investment and resource decisions.
* Actively participate in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process by providing planning and SCM input from early stages.
* Develop and enhance cross-divisional planning tools and models to improve efficiency and data integration.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Solid experience in production planning, supply chain, or strategic planning within industrial sectors such as defence, aerospace, automotive, or mechanical engineering.
* Confident with planning KPIs, capacity models, and supply chain performance metrics.
* Understanding of simultaneous engineering and development cycles and their impact on SCM.
* Strong analytical and coordination skills across cross-functional and multi-site teams.
* Experience using ERP and advanced planning tools (e.g. SAP, APS systems).
* Fluent in German and English (spoken and written).
