As a Junior Metabolic Strain Engineer, you will apply hands-on strain engineering to improved product properties and yields of our ChoViva Butter, as well as future fats and fat-derived ingredients. A Taste of What to Expect Conceptualize and execute full DBTL cycles with a strong focus on hands-on wet lab work in strain engineering to improve fat yield and composition Analyze, interpret, and present experimental and literature data to support team discussions and decision-making Support the development of in-house structural biology capabilities to enable rational design of improved product compositions Coordinate proactively with internal teams and external partners, ensuring alignment on timelines, responsibilities, and R&D goals across strain, process, and product development Ensure smooth lab operations through maintenance of shared resources, stocks, work spaces and supervision of interns You will also build and test these targets in vivo and hands-on in the wet lab, together with the strain development team. You will be challenged to drive the extension and continuous improvement of applied computational tools at Planet A Foods.
