The Team
We are growing our Global Transaction Tax practice across Germany and looking to strategically strengthen at Director level in Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Dusseldorf. Our tax practice is unique in that we offer the opportunity to work without audit conflict and truly act as a trusted business advisor across service lines, allowing us access to provide the best service possible at all stages of our client’s development. We provide our teams with opportunities and support to develop careers that are most meaningful to them.
How you will contribute
* Provide expert guidance on concurrent transaction tax engagements across Germany, Europe, and globally.
* Supervise and coordinate the management of complex cross-border transaction workstreams end-to-end, providing input on mandates, including tax due diligence, and structuring.
* Develop and oversee implementation of tax-efficient planning aligned with client goals, proactively addressing any potential challenges.
* Cultivate strong client relationships, serving as a senior point of contact and trusted advisor for key stakeholders.
* Guide and support junior and mid-level team members, enhancing technical expertise and encouraging professional growth.
* Oversee multiple engagements and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and profitably.
* Support business development activities, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and identifying opportunities to expand existing relationships.
Qualifications
* Proven experience leading Transaction Tax projects across a variety of sectors, ideally at a top-tier advisory firm.
* Strong academic record and a degree from a leading university or equivalent.
* Well‑developed stakeholder management skills, including managing key client relationships and networking/business development.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills. Native or fluent German and English are essential. Additional language skills are highly advantageous.
* Highly ambitious and motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset, deep functional knowledge and insight, a blend of operational and commercial skills, and an entrepreneurial approach.
