A day in a life of a (Senior) Product Development Specialist…
Your will support the development of innovative and competitive products which meet Markets and Business needs, consistent with Zone Business Plans. In detail:
* Manage development, scale up and implementation of new and existing technologies to improve the performance of existing products and develop new products.
* Explore innovative application of product/process possibilities based on current state-of-the-art food technology.
* Serve as technological resource for develop a robust pipeline of product development opportunities.
* Leverage food processing expertise to advance operational standards and training for the current pizza production processes.
* Apply deep technological expertise to projects and challenges, demonstrating highly developed problem-solving skills and applying sound methodology to deliver an optimal solution.
* Support product formulation including appropriate ingredient, nutritional, regulatory, and analytical requirements.
* Act as ingredient lead for all assigned ingredients/raw material including qualification of new raw materials and suppliers.
* Initiate and implement cost reduction ideas for assigned product lines and factories.
What will make you successful?
* B.S. degree in Food Science, Engineering or related
* Plus 5 years minimum of related experience in food industry
* Project Management and Leadership skills
* Experience in sensorial analyses
* Results-oriented approach
* Flexibility, open-mindedness, team orientation, strong communication skills
* Fluent English, German language skills an advantage
