Tasks
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Ensure sound financial governance, transparency, and accountability
* Oversee financial structures and systems, including Odoo 18 Community Edition
* Establish and maintain financial policies supporting funding, compliance, and sustainability
* Support budgeting, reporting, and funding-related financial requirements
* Advise leadership on financial risks, resilience, and long-term viability
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
* Extensive professional experience in finance, accounting, controlling, or financial leadership roles
* Proven ability to ensure financial governance, transparency, and accountability at organizational level
* Strong understanding of financial systems, reporting structures, and compliance requirements
* Experience designing or overseeing financial frameworks suitable for donor-, grant-, or stakeholder-funded environments
* High degree of integrity, sound judgment, and reliability in handling financial responsibility
* Ability to operate independently and act as a trusted advisor to leadership and governing bodies
* Experience with ERP or accounting systems; Odoo experience is an advantage, but not a prerequisite
IDEAL BACKGROUND
* Senior finance experience in NGOs, foundations, gGmbHs, social enterprises, or comparable mission-driven organizations
* Exposure to donation-, grant-, or stakeholder-funded environments with corresponding governance expectations
* Experience working with boards, supervisory bodies, or in advisory or treasurer-style roles
* International or cross-cultural experience, particularly in development or impact-oriented contexts, is an advantage
* Motivation to contribute senior expertise on a voluntary basis in support of long-term social impact
