Our client, a globally recognised leader in packaging solutions is seeking an SVP Operations to oversee global operations at a pivotal moment. This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-impact role with immediate influence and long-term potential. You'll work closely with the CEO and senior leadership to define what success looks like over the next few years and execute the operational strategy and bring their vision to life.
You'll lead cross-functional teams across supply chain, logistics, engineering, planning, HSE, and quality, ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement. This role requires a leader who can think strategically, act decisively, and deliver results in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Responsibilities
* Define and articulate a 3-5 year operational vision aligned with corporate goals.
* Develop and implement a comprehensive manufacturing roadmap, including key transformation initiatives.
* Translate strategic objectives into tangible, executable projects with clear milestones and KPIs.
* Partner closely with the CEO and site leadership to drive performance across all manufacturing functions.
* Lead initiatives to improve yield, process uptime, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
* Oversee and optimize end-to-end operations, including: supply chain & logistics, production planning, engineering & maintenance, HS, quality assurance & compliance
* Support and mentor operational & technical leaders
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration.
* Act as a change agent, bringing fresh perspective and energy to the organization.
Requirements
* Engineering background with senior leadership experience in packaging or process industries
* Proven ability to develop and execute strategic roadmaps and operational transformation projects
* Strong track record in improving KPIs, yield, process uptime, and efficiency
* Experience managing complex operations across supply chain, logistics, engineering, HSE, and quality
* Comfortable working in both strategic and hands-on capacities
* Available to start immediately or within a few weeks (no long notice periods)
* German language skills are a bonus, but not required
