We are looking for a strategic Global Trading and ITAD Manager to oversee and grow our international recommerce trading and IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) business for used electronic devices. In this key role, you will manage all aspects of global trading operations including sourcing, sales and compliance while driving the expansion of our ITAD services. This role is pivotal in driving our growth strategy and operational excellence across our trading and ITAD business. The ideal candidate is to have a proven track record in global trading and/or ITAD business, ideally in the recommerce or electronics industry.
1. Develop and execute global trading strategies for the recommerce sector, focusing on used devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops and related technology)
2. Manage all aspects of the trading cycle including supplier selection, contract negotiation, pricing and logistic
3. Oversee and expand the ITAD business, ensuring secure, environmentally compliant handling, refurbishment and resale of IT assets
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, distributors and key partners in global markets
5. Monitor international market trends, supply/demand dynamics and regulatory changes to optimize opportunities and minimize risks
6. Coordinate with internal teams (operations, logistic, compliance, sales, finance and operations) to enable seamless trade flow and fulfilment
7. Drive process improvements and digitalization initiatives to enhance efficiency and transparency in trading and ITAD operations
8. Prepare and present regular performance and market analysis reports to senior management, including actionable recommendations
You are reporting into the Vice President Mobility.
Your Qualifications
9. 5+ years of experience in international trading and/or IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) business for used electronic devices
10. Strong understanding of the electronic device lifecycle, pricing and market dynamics in recommerce
11. Proven ability to drive business development and manage customer, supplier and stakeholder relationships
12. Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
13. Strategic and commercial mindset with a focus on innovation and business development
14. Strong attention to detail and proactive, hands-on problem-solving ability
15. Ability to prioritize, multi-task and navigate in international environments
16. Clear thinking with sound understanding of calculating profitability
17. Self-motivated with proven ability to work autonomously with a minimum of direction
18. Fluent communication in English (additional languages are a plus) and interpersonal skills
