The following position is to be filled at TH Wildau in the Department of Economics, Computer Science, and Law (WIR) as soon as possible: Laboratory Engineer for AI Infrastructure and Research Administration (f/m/d) Reference Number: 2026_14_140_AI This is a full-time, permanent position with a 40-hour workweek. Part-time employment is generally possible. We are seeking a candidate (f/m/d) for the administration and further development of a university-wide AI infrastructure (50%) as well as tasks in academic administration within the WIR department (50%). Responsibilities: Administration, management, and further development of a university-wide AI infrastructure Administration and management of computer labs, servers, and networks Supervision of labs/exercises in the Department of Business and Administrative Informatics Collaboration on research projects in the Department of Business and Administrative Informatics Support in public relations (trade show appearances, promotional events for prospective students, etc.) Qualifications: Completed university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science, AI Engineering, or a comparable field; alternatively, a relevant university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) with proven professional experience of several years in complex IT and AI infrastructures In-depth knowledge of containerization, container orchestration, Linux server operations, and automation Experience in software development (full-stack), API integration, operational documentation, and technical support Knowledge of AI models, inference, fine-tuning, model training, and resource-optimized AI operations Interest in mentoring and supervising students Very good MS Office skills Very good verbal and written communication and expression skills in German, as well as good written and spoken English skills Strong commitment and independence (structured, self-reliant, precise, and goal- and service-oriented work style) Friendly, customer-oriented, creative, reliable, able to work under pressure Teamwork, organizational, and communication skills What do we offer?
