EU Sustainability Engineering team is looking for a SrElectrical Engineer to scale programs within the wider Amazonelectrification transformation.

Coreinitiative are the electrification of last mile and middle milefleet and the implementation of technologies to maximize energyefficiency of our buildings. This requires to expand one of thelargest private charging networks in the world and the definitionof innovative electrical design to enable smart gridsstrategy.

Key jobresponsibilities
- Align and set stakeholders’expectations for the installation of the electrical infrastructureto serve the Electrical Vehicle (EV) charging network and/or thesmart grid.
- Work closely with stakeholders to driveenergy efficiency roadmap and installation of IoT technologies(e.g. smart meters)
- Develop and manage vendors, inorder to ensure installation capacity, quality of commissioning andsmooth interaction on-site with other teams like health and safetyand operations.
- Have full ownership of technologies’standards for electrical equipment.
- Perform designvalidation in order to ensure that various teams are respectingelectrical standards during installation of electricalequipment.
- Act as subject matter expert and supportField Engineering to prepare for the execution of installationon-site.
- Write business cases and present them toleadership to scope programs.
A day in thelife
Your day could include engagement with all levels ofthe organization and multiple stakeholder groups to drive short,mid and long term decisions that have impact on a large scaleacross the Amazon transportation network. You would also be workingwith partners from Operations, Process Improvement, Health andSafety, Ergonomics, Finance, Procurement and external vendors todesign and deploy new equipment and processes for AMZL, ATS and CF(all miles).
About the team
EUSustainability Engineering is responsible for the definition andcontinuous improvement of electrical standards for EV chargingnetwork and smart grid solutions. We ensure reliability of designand we obsess over costs since we believe that waste of resourcesis one of the major risks for Sustainability actions. The scale ofAmazon last mile network requires the team to establish closepartnership with other teams: we get plans and financialjustification from Global Fleet team or from EU Sustainabilityteam; we leverage footprint and skills of Field Engineering teamfor installation; we get continuous feedback from Maintenance andOperation teams to improve our products.
BASICQUALIFICATIONS
- A Master Degree (or higher degree)related to electrical engineering
- Relevant experiencein building, developing and leading programs in a fast-paced andambiguous work environment with multiple stakeholders (e.g.definition of accurate network expansion plans, vendors’development, quality assurance, design and costs improvement, teamand stakeholders engagement).
- Relevant experience infinancial activities including strategic budget of large-scaleexpansion and delivery of scalable business solutions.
-Relevant experience communicating complex topics for broadaudiences and in data analysis for decision making.
-Relevant experience working with Excel, reporting tools, databasesand cloud computing.
- Written and verbal proficiency inEnglish are required, proficiency in German is aplus.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
-Master Degree in Electrical Engineering or other technical masterwith actual expertise on electrical installation.
-Experience in electrical engineering programs, procurement ofhardware, contracting of maintenance services isbeneficial.
- Relevant experience in resource planning inlarge scale programs.
- Understanding of the industryplayers in the electrical and energy sector in Europe andWW.
- Experience with customer/partner development andvalidating products through technological dive deep.
-Experience with the EV charging industry and Smart Gridtechnology.
