Director of New Business Development - Sustainable Buildings
As the Director of Business Development for the Sustainable Buildings sector, you will lead a project house focused on driving new initiatives in areas such as modular construction, green buildings, and data center buildings. You will oversee the entire value chain, from ideation to scaling, while managing a team of experts to bring innovative solutions to market. Your main responsibilities include:
* Leading and managing a cross-functional project house dedicated to Sustainable Buildings.
* Defining the strategic direction and goals for the project house.
* Managing global Business Development Teams.
* Ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and stakeholder expectations.
Ideation & Validation (0-6 months):
* Identifying and validating new market opportunities.
* Conducting market, competitive analysis, and trend research to define product-solution fit.
* Developing value propositions and business cases for innovative solutions.
* Executing rapid prototyping and MVP testing with real customers.
* Collaborating closely with internal innovation and technology teams.
Incubation & Go-to-Market (6-18 months):
* Building and developing the initial customer base for Sustainable Buildings products.
* Validating product-market fit based on data and customer feedback.
* Developing partnerships and initial sales channels.
* Supporting product development and iterative business model structuring.
* Preparing venture spin-offs or integration into the existing corporate portfolio.
* Developing and executing scaling strategies for Sustainable Buildings ventures.
* Establishing a sustainable sales and marketing ecosystem.
* Managing fundraising and investments for the venture.
* Implementing efficient processes and structures for long-term growth.
* Leading and scaling teams within the venture.
