Your ResponsibilitiesThe vacant job is within the Supply Chain organization which has worldwide business responsibility contract manufacturer management. Strategic Supplier Managers are responsible for the supplier management in all organizational and commercial aspects of one or more key suppliers or material commodities. They manage assurance of supply provided by our external partners to support customer shipments. In addition, they support the NPI process and make sure to meet our time to market requirements. They w
ork cross functional with R&D, Product engineering, Marketing, Finance, involving individual contributors as well as all levels of management.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:Manages assurance of supply during whole product lifecycleOwns and drives material cost reductions and leads quoting activitiesLeads supplier negotiations and contractingReviews and mitigates excess & obsolescence risk, manages inventories and liabilitiesIs responsible for supply chain rollovers from "old" to "new" productsLeads supplier selection and performance evaluation according to company internal requirements catalogueParticipates in Advantest global supply chain activitiesHas overall ownership for supplier relationship and escalation managementSupply base risk management and business continuity planning
Your QualificationsMaster / Bachelor's degree in business administration, industrial engineer or similarStrong Supply chain and supplier management skills, preferred in machined products and mechanical assemblies5 years+ working experience in similar or related functionsNegotiations skills, able to drive to win-win solutionsOperational procurement experienceSuperior communication skills (cross-functional, supply chain, cross-cultural) across hierarchy levels, fluent English & German language skills (verbal & written)Strong self-management, sets proper priorities, able to coordinate and influence x-functional teamsProactive working style and ability to work on multiple tasks in cross functional teams
