What you’ll do:
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Digital Transformation Lead to drive the digital evolution of our logistics operations. In this critical role, you will be responsible for identifying, designing, and implementing cutting-edge digital solutions that enhance efficiency, visibility, and scalability across the entire logistics value chain. You will act as a key change agent, guiding cross-functional teams through technology adoption and process reengineering initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Leadership
* Develop and execute the digital transformation roadmap for logistics aligned with company goals.
* Identify innovation opportunities and assess emerging technologies (e.g., IoT, AI, RPA, WMS, TMS, blockchain) to modernize operations.
* Process Optimization
* Analyze current logistics processes to identify inefficiencies and pain points.
* Lead initiatives to digitize and automate key functions such as warehousing, transport management, and supply chain coordination.
* Technology Implementation
* Oversee the selection, integration, and deployment of digital tools and platforms.
* Collaborate with IT and vendor partners to ensure seamless system implementation.
* Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement
* Act as a liaison between operational teams, leadership, and tech partners.
* Drive adoption through training, communication, and user engagement initiatives.
* Champion a culture of digital literacy and innovation across logistics teams.
* Data & Performance Management
* Define KPIs to track digital project impact and logistics performance improvements.
* Leverage data analytics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Informatics, or a related field.
* Minimum 15 years of experience in logistics, with at least 8 years in digital transformation or process improvement roles.
* Strong understanding of logistics processes (inbound/outbound, last mile, reverse logistics, etc.).
* Hands-on experience with ERP, WMS, TMS, and digital automation tools.
* Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and complex transformation programs.
* Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
* Fluent in English (German or other languages is a plus).
