Role Overview
We are looking for an inspiring and dynamic logistics leader to join our team as Head of Logistics. In this pivotal role, you will take full responsibility for driving operational excellence, leading a large team, and shaping innovative logistics processes that ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing logistics team (including five team leaders and approximately 150 employees).
* Ensure full compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) requirements across all warehouse operations.
* Plan, coordinate, and continuously optimize warehouse, picking, and shipping workflows to achieve maximum efficiency.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive strategic initiatives for continuous growth.
* Develop flexible yet structured workforce planning strategies to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
* Design, track, and analyze performance metrics (KPIs) to guide data-driven decision-making.
* Manage departmental budgets, control costs, and ensure optimal use of resources.
Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence throughout all logistics operations.
Qualifications and Experience
* Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Transport Management, or a related field.
* Proven track record in a senior logistics management role, ideally within a regulated or pharmaceutical environment.
* Strong knowledge of logistics systems, including ERP or warehouse management (WaWi) platforms.
* Demonstrated ability to inspire, coach, and lead diverse teams toward outstanding performance.
* Exceptional organizational skills with a structured and analytical mindset.
* Fluency in written and spoken German and English (business-level proficiency required).
* Proficiency in MS Office applications.
