Mill-Turn-Setter
Main Responsibilities and Objectives
· Setup, programming and operation of mill-turn centers (Index, Nakamura; Fanuc/Siemens controls)
· Training and instruction of machine operators
· Support department management in achieving defined targets
· Ensure high machine availability through proper setup
Key Tasks
· Responsibility for product and process quality
· Create and adjust CNC programs based on technical drawings
· Read and interpret technical drawings
· Independent setup and tooling of CNC machines
· Prepare tools, fixtures and measuring equipment
· Create and optimize setup plans
· Optimize and document production processes
· Select, procure and test tools and equipment
· Plan and procure production equipment in cooperation with departments
Requirements – Education / Skills
· Completed vocational training in metalworking (e.g. machinist)
· Several years of experience in CNC setup and programming
· Strong CNC knowledge, especially Fanuc
