If you are a go-getter who is excited about high-performance environments and combines intellectual sharpness, strong commercial acumen, and a positive attitude, we would be excited to get to know you.What you’ll doLead the development of econometric and machine learning models to optimise take rate, pricing strategies, and vendor monetisation, working alongside top commercial leaders and technical experts.Design, run, analyse, and improve experiments and A/B tests to validate your hypotheses in real-world settings.Present research and recommendations to senior executives, shaping company-wide strategy to enable our 1m+ restaurant partners across the globe to grow while monetizing our services sustainably.Partner closely with the Commercial, Product, and Data Engineering teams to embed advanced modelling and experimental insights into pricing, incentive, and vendor engagement decisions, while regularly delivering recommendations and insights to senior business leaders.Join a team with a proven track record in scaling billion-dollar tech business from scratch.QualificationsPh.D. in Economics or a similar field with an emphasis on quantitative research methods including forecasting, causal inference, machine learning and experiment design.5+ years of experience in data science roles, ideally in Revenue Management, Pricing, or Monetization Analytics in e-commerce, marketplaces, fintech, or AdTechExperience with marketplace pricing dynamics, multi-modal optimisation, and revenue forecasting models, plus deep understanding of economic concepts such as price elasticity, contribution margins, ROI metrics, rebate mechanics, and segmentation analysesYou're a fast learner, critical thinker, and creative problem solver who strives for excellence - and you’re hungry to take on complex, ambiguous challengesWillingness to take responsibility on high-stakes, company-defining projects with substantial financial impact and eagerness to deliver clear recommendations to top managementPassion for data, with creative problem-solving abilities and an eye for detailProficiency in Python and/or R, and SQL (preferably with BigQuery), with experience in statistical modelling and data visualisation (Tableau or similar) with continuous iterationExcellent English communication skills, both written and oral, and able to explain complex modelling outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences in a concise wayAdditional InformationWe believe diversity and inclusion are key to creating not only an exciting product, but also an amazing customer and employee experience.
