The Accountant will be responsible for oversite of the General Ledgers of five entities (Germany, Austria Belgium the Netherlands and Poland). Maintains integrity of income statements as well as the balance sheet ledgers.
Essential Job Functions:
Accounts Payable:
1. Responsible for timely and accurate accounts payable processing.
2. Managing incoming Invoice mailboxes (sorting and distribute Transport invoices to India)
3. Contact stations and ask for approval of invoices.
4. Follow-up and solve issues.
5. Booking overhead invoices
6. Accounts receivable (compute credit notes)
7. Asset administration (activation, disposals and depreciation)
8. Processes invoices by entering them into accounting system and communicates with vendors and branches on issues.
9. Filing of processed invoices, checks and PO's
10. Makes copies of check runs and matching them to the appropriate invoice
11. Perform manual and batch payments
12. Perform credit check for new customers
13. VAT-calculation and filing (monthly/quarterly)
General ledger activities:
14. Create manual and/or batch payments
15. P&L analysis
16. Prepare and review monthly journal entries including supporting documentation
17. Month-end and Year-end activities.
18. Research and resolve accounting issues
19. Perform monthly incentive computation
20. Compute VAT declaration (monthly/quarterly).
21. Monthly reporting activities in OneStream.
22. Compute Bad debt allowance
23. Perform balance sheet reconciliations
Ad hoc activities
24. Perform credit checks for new customers.
25. Assist with annual audits
26. IDEV reporting
27. CBS reporting

Experience Required:
30. 1-3 years experience general Accounting Experience.
31. Must have ten-key (calculating) experience.
32. Strong Excel skills are required.
