Internship Opportunity in Advanced Manufacturing and Composite Materials
We are currently seeking an intern to support the development of our sustainable lightweight design and production processes, focusing on composite materials. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the commercialization of our unique robotic additive manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct research on relevant topics and provide recommendations for material optimization
* Develop, modify, test, and evaluate composite materials to improve their performance and sustainability
* Calibrate and optimize production processes to ensure efficient and high-quality output
* Provide technical advice on material suitability and sustainability to inform decision-making
* Diagnose faults and develop maintenance and repair processes to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
* Oversee quality control processes and advise on inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards
* Liaise with suppliers, customers, and manufacturing/development staff to facilitate communication and collaboration
Requirements:
* Mastery of material sciences with a focus on composites
* Excellent knowledge of material sciences and skills in research and development
* Familiarity with destructive and non-destructive testing methods is an asset
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and practical approach
* Excellent organizational skills, confidence, and attention to detail
* Innovative and creative approach to complex problems
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment under pressure
* Fluent English language skills; additional languages considered an asset
